Common University Entrance Test 2022 (CUET)

CUET is a common exam for university admissions to combine this. Before 2022 each University had a different procedure for admissions. CUET: Important Details
Section 1A: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu.
Section 1B: French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Kashmiri,
Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
Candidates can choose any of the languages from Section 1A and Section 1B. The language test will be based on Literary Aptitude, RC and Vocabulary.
Section 2: The domain section has 27 subjects. Out of these 27 subjects, candidates can choose any 6 based on their stream and college/university of choice. The questions will be MCQ type.
Section 3: The General Test includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning and Logical and Analytical Reasoning. The questions will be Multiple Choice Types.
CUET: Eligibility Criteria
The CUET exam has no age barrier. Candidates must visit the official website of universities to check any variance in the criteria.
- Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognised school board.
- Candidates should score at least 50% marks in their +2 examination in the General category and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
- The subjects in 12th should be according to the courses you want to opt for.
Reservation Policy
Each University under the CUET must adhere to the rules and regulations specified by the Government of India. Below are the details of the reservation policy:

CUET: Exam Pattern
The Common University Entrance Test 2022 will consist of three sections:
- Languages
- Domain
- General Test,
The languages section is further divided into two sections, where candidates can choose from 13 languages in the first section and 20 languages in the second. Students can pick from 27 different domain subjects under the domain section. The general test consists of General Awareness, Current Affairs, Numerical ability, Mental ability etc.
The exam consists of negative markings. Candidates need to be aware while attempting the questions. Unattempted questions will have no marks.

CUET: Marking Scheme
Candidates must know about the marking scheme to make an effective plan for their preparation. Without the knowledge of the marking scheme, it becomes hard to prepare each section separately.

CUET: Application Fee
Candidates can pay the fee online through – debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ Challan of SBI any branch or through offline mode.

- Prepare for Logical reasoning, basic language, GK and general aptitude as it will be helpful in CUET and any entrance exam.
- Focus on your board exams, as some universities may consider 12th scores.
- Revise from the earlier classes to clear your concepts and start practicing from NCERT on any particular subject.
- Keep your concepts clear from the previous classes, and work on the sections that need more attention.
